This one-day class will focus on the process of turning a billet of greenwood into a hand carved spoon. Participants will learn the techniques used to design the spoon shape, axe out the spoon blank, rough out the spoon shape, apply finishing cuts, and protect the piece. Each participant will learn safe techniques for using a carving axe, greenwood saw, slöjd knife, and hook knife. Space for this class is limited to 5 participants, but auditing is available.
